Tax officers added more than AZN 22 million to extra-budgetary fund
The extra-budgetary fund of the Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan in January-September was added 22.48 million manat, of which 14.67 million was spent.
According to the basic fiscal framework, the principal amount (4,291,250 manat) was used to raise salaries. The construction of commercial buildings consumed 2,102,700 manat, the purchase of machinery and equipment - 1,720,020 manat, 866,950 manat was directed to salaries for freelance, 1,155,680 manat - contributions for compulsory social insurance, 612,000 manat - to overhaul administrative and management facilities, 767,860 manat – for stationery and household expenses. There are also non-essential "other" purposes.
The budgetary fund of the Ministry of Taxes is the only one open to the local community financial institution of this kind. Other ministries do not disclose figures.
Recall that in late September 2008, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan adopted the mechanism of formation of extra-budgetary fund of the Ministry of Taxes. It presumes the contribution of 5% (previously 2%) of the total amount of fines and financial sanctions imposed by tax authorities for violation of tax legislation by taxpayers listed in the state budget for the fiscal year. The size of the items listed in the non-budget fund of the tax authorities shall not exceed 30% of the cost of the Tax Ministry allocated from the state budget. --17D-

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
