The average annual salary in Azerbaijan close to 400 manat
In 2012, the average monthly nominal, ie salary in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 396 (without taxes and social security). This is 8.7% more than in 2011. In this case, in December last year, the average salary reached 428.8 manat.
The government promises to increase wages and employees of budget organizations this year. Many people, citing the experience of previous years, believe that it will happen closer to the presidential elections scheduled for October. The last time the salaries of state employees were promoted in December 2011.
In Azerbaijan, the lowest wages are at educators (283 AZN) and health (164 AZN). Salaries of civil servants (about 29,000 people) in 2011 averaged 448.3 manat. In the higher echelons of power, the figure was 1,000 manat.
According to the State Committee for Statistics by sectors of economic activity more than other workers earn the mining industry, pilots, communications, finance and insurance companies, transport companies and builders. - 08B-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
