For the first time in 18 years on the basis of the share of foreign currency in the total money supply was below 20%
Money supply increased in December 2012 to 1156.8 million or 9.1% to $ 13,806.4 million manat. For the full year volume manat funds in the economy grew by 25.5%. For comparison, in 2011 manat supply grew by 32.5%.
According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the amount of cash outside the banking system rose in December to 873 million or 10.4% to 9256.6 million manat, and non-cash AZN - 283.7 million or 6.6% to 4549.7 million manat. The share of the latter in the structure of the manat circulation dropped to 32.9%. During the year, the amount of cash has increased by 29.3%, while non-cash has increased by 18.5%.
Broad money increased in the reporting month 987.6 million or 6.3% to 16,775.3 million manat. The volume of foreign exchange supply in the banking system decreased 169.3 million manat to the equivalent of 2968.9 million manats. Since 2012 Foreign Exchange supply increased by 2.1% (previous year increase of 30.3%). Manat share resources in the total money supply were 82.3%, which is 3.2% more than January 1, 2011. For the first time in 18 years on the basis of the share of foreign currency in the total mass was below 20%.
The total amount of the monetary base rose in December by 13.2% since the beginning of the year - by 30.1% to 8489.4 million manat. Manat monetary base grew in January-December to 1878.2 million or 29.3% to 8275.3 million manat. - 15V -
