The labor market as a whole is stable - State Statistics Committee
As of May 1, in the economy of Azerbaijan were occupied by 1,510,500 people, which is 100 more than the previous month. At the same time there have been some changes in the structure of employment in individual sectors.
According to the State Statistics Committee, the State provides employment to 900,700 people. In the private sector are employed 609,800 people. Slight increase in employment occurred in the private sector.
If as of April 1 in the field of education were employed 22.4% of the total number of employed persons, the next month, it increased by 0.3%. 0.5% decline in the number of employees in industry (12.4%), construction (6.6%) - 0.4%, transportation and warehousing (5%) - 0.1%. The specific weight of information and communication in the structure of employment in the past month rose from 1.7% to 1.8%.
Average monthly wage of employed persons in January-April amounted to 436.7 manat, an increase over the month by 2.4 manat. - 08D -
