Baku/07.09.23/Turan: Georgian Wines Airline has marked a historic milestone with the successful landing of its first flight on the Tbilisi-Baku route at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Upon arrival in Baku on September 6, the Georgian air carrier's plane was greeted with a traditional salute in the form of a water arch.
Dignitaries present at the ceremony included representatives from Georgian Wings and Zurab Pataradze, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Azerbaijan. They emphasized the significance of this event in enhancing the bilateral relations between the two nations.
Teymur Hasanov, Director of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, stated, "Our airport strives for the continuous development and expansion of its international partnerships, and the launch of this route opens up even more opportunities for the development of tourism, business, and cultural exchange between the two countries."
Edison Pipia, CEO of Georgian Wings Airline, expressed pride in the successful landing of the inaugural Tbilisi-Baku flight at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Georgian Wings Airline will operate regular flights on the Tbilisi-Baku-Tbilisi route three times a week, with flights scheduled for Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
