Azerbaijan gets ready to attack Karabakh - Pashinyan
Baku/07.09.23/Turan: The military-political situation in the region has significantly aggravated over the past week. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at a government meeting on Thursday.
According to him, Azerbaijan has been pulling troops to the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh and to the border with Armenia for several days.
"Anti-Armenian rhetoric is intensifying in the Azerbaijani press and propaganda platforms, and the policy of encroaching on Armenia's sovereign territory continues," Pashinyan said. He called on the international community to prevent a "new explosion" in the region.
At the same time, Pashinyan said that Armenia is committed to the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as the agreements reached in Brussels and Prague. According to his version, a dialogue should start "between Stepanakert and Baku within the framework of international mechanisms, and the Lachin corridor should be opened."
Based on all this, Armenia is ready to sign a treaty on peace and normalisation of relations with Azerbaijan, the Armenian Prime Minister said.
Official Baku has not yet commented on these statements by Pashinyan. -02В-
