The work of medical-social expert commissions will improve

The issue of improving the work of medical and social expert commissions (MSEC), as well as improve their performance for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities were discussed at held at the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the meeting on April 5.

The meeting noted that the efforts of the Ministry of Labor agencies work to prevent disability somewhat improved, desired to the definition of disability services, and reduce unnecessary destinations by clinics by appointment disability, the press service of the Ministry told Turan.

It was noted that in order to increase public trust and transparency in the work MSEC considers the appointment of representatives of non-governmental organizations, the use of electronic options for receiving citizens, the use of individual programs of rehabilitation and disability, etc.

In recent months, in Azerbaijan there were a few revelations of MSEC for the provision of disability to citizens for bribes. Therefore, control of these commissions strengthened. This leads to an increase in calls and complaints to the central office of the Ministry of Labor. In March alone, about the activities of MSEC the ministry received 200 citizens.

One of the main grievances with disabilities is that in many cases disability is defined for a period of one year, although the rehabilitation almost impossible. - 08D-
