Three Passenger Vessels Commissioned
Today Baku has hosted the ceremony of commissioning of three passenger ships constructed at the Baku Shipyard for Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company. They were awarded the titles Ufug (Horizon), Zafar (Victory) and Turan.
The ceremony was attended by President Ilham Aliyev.
The ships can serve offshore oil industry. Each ship is capable of carrying 80 passengers.
The length of the ship is 38 m, and the width is 8 m. It speeds up to 35 km per hour, which is two times higher than in the existing fleet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company’s fleet.
Currently, the Baku Shipyard is building an underwater construction vessel called Khankendi. ----08D

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
