Till July 1, 2013 customs agents instituted criminal cases on 144 cases
During six months this year the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee registered 144 criminal cases. 113 of them are related to smuggling, including 7 cases of import of goods with excises. 62,962 kilo of narcotics and 83,366 kilo of psychotropic substances were confiscated in 74 drug-related cases. 168 people were brought to responsibility in all the cases.
By July 1, 2013 customs agents brought responsibility local and foreign citizens on 5,812 cases of administrative transgressions, including attempts to secretly bring and remove undeclared products, lack of accompanying documents and non-delivery of declared products and etc.—0—

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
