Azerqarant Sigorta company weakened, because of lack of obligatory types of insurance
During 6 months in 2012 Azerqarant Sigorta company collected 1.08 million AZN from the insurance premium, but by July 1, 2013 this figure reached only 330,051 AZN. The experts believe that after creation of the Bureau of Obligatory Insurance, the corporate sector has moved toward the Bureau members. The company has collected all premium from individual voluntary insurance.
A source from the company told Turan that the company collected 278,049 AZN from insurance against accidents, which makes 84.26% of all premium. 25,670 AZN was collected from CASCO car insurance and 25,910 AZN from property insurance against fires and other risks. Only 440 AZN was collected from voluntary medical insurance.
From January to March 2013 Azerqarant Sigorta paid 110,350 AZN, down by 117,000 AZN against the same period last year.
Azerqarant Sigorta company was registered in November 1997, in 2008 it obtained a license for the period of five years. It was founded by one physical person. The company’s authorized capital is 5.61 million AZN.
The company offers 24 types of insurance, of which 3 ones obligatory and 21 ones voluntary.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
