Akif Gurbanov is concerned about the seizure of his family's property

The speaker of the Platform III of the Republic (ResPlatforma), Akif Gurbanov, who was arrested in the Toplum TV case, has addressed the country's President Ilham Aliyev.

Gurbanov is concerned about the seizure of his movable and immovable property, acquired from known sources before the politician's arrest.

During his time as a member of the Central Election Commission and during his public and political activities, he did not insult anyone or commit unethical acts.

"Leave me, my associates and relatives alone, do not involve them in this process. Do not torment my family by depriving them of communications and property. We fought within the framework of the declared values. I urge you to do the same," Gurbanov writes.

The politician reports that after his arrest, his father's car, computers and phones of his children were seized. The phones of Gurbanov's father were also seized.

"The investigation seized my wife's summer cottage and the house on it, which she acquired with legal income. They also seized my father's car, which he used to take my children to kindergarten and school, and used to visit me in the pretrial detention center.

What do you want to achieve by depriving my family members of all this?", says Gurbanov.
