To release medical services from VAT
The first step of introducing compulsory health insurance (CHI) may be the release of medical services from value added tax.
According to the chairman of Azerbaijan Insurers Association Orkhan Bayramov, the widespread introduction of this type of insurance will not only lead to an increase in salaries of health care workers, but also a change in the government's attitude to health care institution as a whole.
According to him, the release of medical services from VAT will reduce the cost of them, which will lead to lower prices for insurance policies. - 17D-
