
Georgia transfers its channels on Azerbaijani satellite
Tbilisi.26.02.14.Turan -BS PRESS: A JSC "Azerkosmos" has started test broadcasting of Georgian channels in an open format via telecommunication satellite of Azerbaijan «Azerspace/Africasat-1a».
Currently, test broadcasts of the Georgian television «Obieqtivi TV», « 2 TV», «Comedy Arkhi», «Vip TV», «Trialeti», «TV 3 », «GDS TV» and «Quality Channel» are conducted via the Azerbaijani satellite. More than 80 TV and radio channels are broadcast through via satellite «Azerspace/Africasat-1a». Satellite is located at the orbital position of 46 degrees east longitude.
The first Azerbaijani telecommunications satellite was launched in 2013. The satellite is designed to provide digital television , data transmission, creation of multiservice networks VSAT and ensure government communications. The service area includes Azerspace/Africasat-1a Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia , Middle East and Africa. -02D-
