Tomorrow Opens 14th Exhibition "Travel and Tourism"
Tomorrow at Baku Expo Center will open 14th Azerbaijan International Exhibition "Tourism and Travel» AITF 2015. This year, despite the negative developments in the world economy, the exhibition attracted a lot of the number of exhibitors from all over the world.
"The exhibition will be attended by 371 companies from 42 countries. A third of the countries have their national stands, said at today's press conference the executive director of Iteca Caspian Farid Mammadov. The Maldives for the first time demonstrate their tourism opportunities in Azerbaijan with their national stand. Sixty percent of the companies are foreign travel agencies, hotels, motels and resorts.
The number of participants representing the direction of "medical tourism" and "real estate abroad" significantly increased. In the first direction services outside the country are offered by about 30 companies from Germany, Czech Republic, Bulgaria and Israel. Some companies from Turkey, UAE, Bulgaria and Greece will offer investors the opportunity to Azerbaijan to invest in property in their own countries, said Exhibition Manager Khayal Aliyeva.
According to the organizers, only last year the exhibition "Tourism and Travel" was able to attract the attention of 6 thousand professionals, of which 17% were representatives of foreign companies. The tourism potential of Azerbaijan is not only tour operators and hotel chains, but also culture and tourism departments of about 20 regions of the country.

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
