Transparent Insurance Contracts
The system of check for insurance contracts has been updated. According to the information of the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance (BCI), information on the status of insurance claims relating to the registration, payment, confirmation that the Bureau puts forward in relation to insurance companies - members of BCI providing services to insurance (except life insurance), can be checked out on the website http://services.isb.az.
During the first five months of 2015 the control system of insurance contracts was sent more than 640,000 requests. Participants of BCI are 15 companies.
By January 1, 2015 assets of BCI totaled 20.1 million manats (+ 36.3% to the end of the previous year). Net profit last year amounted to 4.8 million manats (+ 29.7%). Last year's earnings were at the level of 6.9 million manats, and the expenses were 2.1 million manats. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met today with Ahmed Moallim Figi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, at the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry. This meeting followed a discussion held the previous day between Figi and Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.
