Two employees of oil service company died and 26 ones hospitalized in Kazakhstan
Radio Liberty reported that two employees of Kezbi company have died and 26 ones have hospitalized diagnosed with poisoning in Zhanaozen city, Mangistua district on the west of Kazakhstan.
Kezbi company performs repair works for the oil wells of Ozenmunaigas company. Local Lada newspaper reported that the first employee asked for medical care on November 24 and he died on the next day. Over 20 employees were hospitalized on the next day and one of them has died as well.
The reason of poisoning is unknown. Anuar Chuzhegulov, deputy chief of the local administration, said that the air-gas environment has been examined where the company’s employees worked. He said no toxic emissions have been found.
The commission led by deputy chief of Zhanaozen and comprised of employees of law enforcement and executive agencies has been created. Kazakhstan Minister of Health Salidat Kairbekov has also arrived in the city.
The health condition of the hospitalized employees is satisfactory.—0—
