Volume of associated gas from ACG handed over to SOCAR increased by 23.4%
During 9 months, 2014 BP and its partners in the ACG have increased the volume of associated gas, which is extracted together with oil from the offshore bloc, handed over to the Azerbaijani side.
Gordon Birrell, BP-Azerbaijan President, told journalists that from January to September 2014 the consortium handed over 2 billion cub.m. of associated gas to State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
Turan reported that during 9 months, 2013 SOCAR received 1.62 billion cub.m. of associated gas from the consortium within the ACG project.
According to the conditions of the Contract of the Century, associated gas is handed over to Azerbaijan free of charge.

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
