Winners of the competition Barama Innovation Center at Azercell
BAKU/20.12.13/TURAN : Innovation Center Barama, operating under the company Azercell, continues to support the younger members of the global movement StartUp ambitious projects .
Thus, according to the press service of the local mobile operator , recently at the Hyatt Regency hosted the final series of workshops for young startups and entrepreneurs in the framework of the Scientific and Technological Enterprise (STEP), launched in March this year with the assistance of Azercell, Barama Innovation Center and U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation . Participants had the opportunity to present their business ideas in the field of information , mobile and green (environmental) technologies , as well as competing for grants to further develop and build their business.
At the presentation made by representatives of the U.S. Civilian Research and Development , as well as independent experts from the United States , which submitted their reports and experience in the field of information technology. The purpose of this workshop was to support young entrepreneurs in realizing their ideas , as well as deepen their knowledge in the field of business development strategies. At the end of the event, participants presented their ideas improved international judges and the best of them decided on the basis of a comparative assessment.
Under the project, the winners were awarded cash prizes from Azercell: the 1st place ( $ 10 million) was won by Shaig Muradov and Amid Guliyev for social media SocSet ( $ 7.5 million), the 2nd place was won by Matanet Mehrabova for the Solar Panels project and the 3rd place ($ 5 million) was won by Azer Aliyev for the corporate project Azikus.
The main purpose of the STEP program is to promote and support entrepreneurship in the field of technology in our country. Also note that the Innovation Center Azercell - Barama, constantly set of different business ideas and provides an opportunity for their successful implementation.
