Morgan Stanley lowers brent crude price forecast to $80 per barrel

COP is one of the key platforms for addressing climate change issues, said Yalchin Rafiev, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister and Chief Negotiator for COP29, during a panel discussion at the media workshop "29 Dialogues on Climate: Road to COP29" on Saturday.

In the first half of this year, 5.17 bcm of gas were transported from Azerbaijan to Italy via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP). According to the Italian Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, 4.901 bcm were delivered to Italy in the same period last year.

Azerbaijan's revenue from operating major gas pipelines, including the South Caucasus Pipeline (which exports gas from the “Shah Deniz” field), amounted to 1.359 billion AZN ($799.9 million at the current exchange rate) in the first half of 2024. According to a report from the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, this income increased by 7.8% compared to January-June 2023.

The tanker "Khankendi," of the "Aframax" type and under the Azerbaijani flag, has started operations (this is the fourth such tanker in Azerbaijan), the press service of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) reported this news at the end of last week.
