Number of Subscribers to Azerbaijan's Electricity Distribution Company Published

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has announced the start of natural gas deliveries to Slovakia. "On December 1, SOCAR began supplying gas to the company SPP, the largest state-owned energy supplier in Slovakia," according to a statement published on SOCAR's website.

The State Oil Fund of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOFAZ) sold foreign currency worth 574.6 million USD in November 2024. According to SOFAZ’s report, this is a 230.6% increase compared to October of this year. Additionally, this is 40.8% more than in November of last year (339.9 million USD). It is noted that in October, the Oil Fund sold 174.4 million USD at auctions. From January to November this year, SOFAZ sold foreign currency worth 6.494 billion USD.

A meeting took place between Baba Rzaev, the head of the state-owned "Azerenerji" OJSC, and a delegation led by Gary Jones, President of BP Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye, by the press service of "Azerenerji" reported.

Gazprom has increased daily gas deliveries to China via the "Power of Siberia" pipeline to the maximum contracted level ahead of schedule, starting December 1, according to a statement from the Russian holding company. The pipeline's design capacity is 38 bcm per year. "The increase in supplies was achieved one month earlier than originally planned under the long-term bilateral gas sales contract between Gazprom and China's CNPC," the statement says.
