Azerbaijan lags behind Georgia in the number of banks with foreign capital

Of the 23 banks operating in Azerbaijan, 9 have foreign capital. This is reported in the statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA). According to the document, more than 50% of the authorized capital of 5 out of these 9 banks and up to 50% of the authorized capital of 3 belong to foreign investors.
