Azerbaijan's cash currency market is up by more than 33%

In the first half of 2024, transactions worth 2.4 billion US dollars were conducted in the cash currency market of Azerbaijan. This is stated in the "Monetary Policy Review" published by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. According to the document, this is up by 33.3% from the same period of 2023. Note that 87.5% of non-cash currency transactions were conducted in dollars, 12.5% in other currencies.
