Elman Rustamov Promises No New Devaluation
Baku / 30.05.17 / Turan: Over the past 4 months, the manat rate has strengthened by 4%, and since reaching the lowest rate in early February 2017 - by 11%. This was said by the head of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov, speaking at a conference on economic reforms in Azerbaijan on May 30.
Rustamov promised that today there is no threat to the stability of the manat, commenting on the probability of a new devaluation. Rustamov did not disclose the reasons for his optimism.
Let us note that such statements by Rustamov are perceived by the public and financial circles with distrust. The reason for this is reverse processes and inevitable devaluation, as it already happened twice in 2015. -02D-
