Hamas and the IDF accuse each other of bombing the hospital
Bakı/18.10.23/Turan: The Hamas Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip has reported that more than 500 people were killed as a result of an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have stated that the attack on the hospital in the Gaza Strip was carried out by the Islamic Jihad group, according to the IDF press service. The Israeli military has explained that the explosion in the hospital followed a rocket salvo launched in the direction of Israel, which was carried out by militants "in the immediate vicinity of the hospital."
The IDF further stated, "According to intelligence information obtained from several sources available to us, the Islamic Jihad organization is responsible for the unsuccessful [rocket] salvo that hit the hospital."
It's important to note that there have been conflicting reports and claims regarding the incident. Some sources have suggested that the explosion in the hospital was a result of an unsuccessful rocket launch.
According to the IDF, the rocket launch in the Gaza Strip occurred around 19:00.--0-
