Moscow and Kiev have found common ground at the talks in Belarus
Baku/28.02.22/Turan: The human rights ombudsmen in Russia and Ukraine will interact on the issues of missing persons and check the conditions of those held, RBC was told in the press service of the Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova.
“We agreed with Lyudmila Denisova, the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, on cooperation in the humanitarian direction on mutual assistance in terms of locating the missing persons and checking the conditions of detention of the detainees. We are working, ”the press service conveyed the words to Moskalkova.
Moskalkova announced the cooperation of the ombudsmen in the humanitarian direction after the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations, which took place in the Gomel region in Belarus.
The talks lasted about five hours, they managed to discuss the entire agenda in detail, said Vladimir Medinsky, the head of the Russian delegation, presidential aide. According to him, the parties have found some points "by which it is possible to predict common positions."
UNIAN noted that the second round of negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and the Russian Federation should take place in the near future, the message of the Office of the President of Ukraine in the social network Facebook.
"The Ukrainian and Russian delegations, which met near the Ukrainian-Belarusian border, held the first round of negotiations in order to find common ground for an early ceasefire and hostilities," the report says.
"The parties discussed in detail a number of key topics on which they have prospects for finding mutually acceptable solutions," the Office of the President added.
"A decision was made to immediately enter into additional consultations in the capitals of states. After that, the second round of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian sides should take place in the near future," the message says.—0--
