Qatar calls on Hamas to speed up the free release of the abducted
Reuters: Qatar, acting as a mediator in the negotiations on the return of the captured Israelis, calls on Hamas to accelerate the process of releasing hostages, especially women and children. At the same time, the grouping should not expect anything in return.
At the same time, the interlocutors of Reuters emphasize that the release of Israeli soldiers is not discussed at the talks – Hamas considers them trump cards for the upcoming negotiations on the exchange of prisoners.
According to the latest data, during the attack on October 7, Hamas hijacked 222 people aged from several months to 85 years into the Gaza Strip. Four women were released.
