РБК: The Ukrainian military fired at the Belgorod region from RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket systems. The Ministry of Defense reported this.
“Fourteen rockets were destroyed by air defense systems on duty,” the department reported.
They clarified that the attack was stopped at about 12.30.
Residents reported that during the attack on Belgorod, a shopping center on Sportivnaya Street was damaged, at least two people were killed, RIA Novosti reported, citing a correspondent.
Another shell fell at the stadium of the 42nd school.
Shortly before the strike, Belgorod governor Vyacheslav Gladkov warned of a missile warning signal. He called for shelter in rooms with solid walls.
Before this, the most severe blow to the city was dealt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on December 30. Then 25 people died and over 100 were injured.
