The US Congress supported the opening of lend-lease for Ukraine
Kyiv/28.04.22/UNIAN: The Lower House of the Congress of the United States of America considered and supported the opening of lend-lease for Ukraine.
This was reported by the head Office of the President of Ukraine Andrey Ermak.
According to Andrey Ermak, the text of the document refers to the granting of expanded powers to the US president to transfer or lease defense assets to Ukraine to "protect civilians from Russian military invasion" and for other purposes.
After the adoption of the act, the Chairman of the White House is obliged to establish accelerated procedures for the delivery of products within 60 days.
"The Lend-Lease law allows us to significantly accelerate the supply of weapons, transport, food and aid from the United States. And all this will allow us to knock the Russian army out of our territories. It should also be understood that lend-lease means the confidence of the United States in the victory of Ukraine over Russia. It will be an important victory for our indestructible people, who were able to unite the civilized world around them in the fight against Russian evil," the head of the OP noted.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga said that Ukraine is working on the issue of lend-lease not only with the United States, but also with European partners.--0--
