Ukraine: operational information as of 07.00 on March 29

Kyiv/29.03.22/UNIAN: The Armed Forces of Ukraine have moved to counterattacks in certain areas. Also, Ukrainian aviation struck military equipment and manpower of the Russian army (RA).

This is stated in the summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the morning of March 29.

The groups of the United Forces repulsed seven enemy attacks in just one day.

"The Group of Defense Forces continues conducting defensive operations in the Eastern, South-Eastern and north-eastern directions. On all of them, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully deter the enemy, in some areas our troops carry out successful counterattacks," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.

Armenia continues to insidiously launch rocket and bomb attacks, trying to completely destroy the infrastructure and residential quarters of Ukrainian cities. It concentrates on fuel storage facilities in order to complicate logistics and create conditions for a humanitarian crisis.

"In violation of the requirements of international humanitarian law, in certain temporarily occupied settlements of the Kiev, Zaporozhye, Chernihiv, Kherson and Kharkiv regions, the Russian occupiers continue to terrorize the local population: they shell residential buildings, rob, kidnap and hold civilians hostage, engage in looting," the General Staff said in a statement.

Groups of the Combined Forces in the Donetsk and Lugansk directions repulsed 7 enemy attacks during the day. Our soldiers destroyed 12 tanks, 10 infantry fighting vehicles and 3 units of automotive equipment. The enemy also suffered losses in manpower.

Defenders from the air forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the previous day hit 17 air targets – 8 planes, 3 helicopters, 4 different types of UAVs and 2 cruise missiles. The aviation of the Air Forces carried out rocket and bomb attacks on the places of accumulation of equipment and manpower of the enemy. RA losses are being clarified.

Recall that the Defense Forces continue to hold the circular defense of the city of Mariupol, defense and deterrence of the enemy's advance in the Chernihiv region. The enemy is weakened, disoriented, a significant part of it is cut off from logistics and main forces. The command of the occupation forces is trying to compensate for the decrease in the combat potential of enemy units by indiscriminate artillery fire and missile and bomb strikes, thus destroying the infrastructure of Ukrainian cities.-0--
