People`s war continues in Ukraine - Vadym Tryukhan

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky answered questions from opposition Russian media (Moscow warned against publishing this interview in Russia). One of the points of Zelensky’s speech was a proposal to Putin to return to the situation before the invasion of the Russian army in Ukraine, that is, until February 24, 2022.

The idea of ​​the president was negatively received by the Kiev political scientist, now a member of the armed resistance, Vadim Tryukhan. He asks on his web page: How to restore the status quo in Mariupol destroyed along with the inhabitants? And in other destroyed cities and villages? And what about the tens of thousands of racist deaths from rockets and bombs? But what about international criminal liability for Russian war criminals, with Fuhrer Putin at the head? Should we forgive? I do not think. Any negotiations are followed by a complete ceasefire. Has anyone put this condition on the racists? So what kind of negotiations are we talking about!? The questions are far from rhetorical. And they are waiting for answers. Ukrainians have a right to it!

V. Tryukhan answered Turan's questions.

- President V. Zelensky invited Putin to return to the situation before February 24. But in Ukraine, for more than a month of the war, irreversible events took place - the mass death of the innocent population, the destruction of cities. How do you imagine a return to pre-war relations with Russia?

- I think that by offering this, Zelensky wanted to make a trial peacekeeping step, a willingness to compromise in order to see Putin's reaction, to show it to the world. But Putin intends to capture all of Ukraine, so he destroys cities with missiles, failing to take them by ground forces. I am sure that Putin will not accept Zelensky's proposal.

The Russian army must completely withdraw from all the territories of Ukraine captured since 2014. There may be negotiations with Russia in the humanitarian sphere - the exchange of prisoners, the opening of corridors for refugees. This is what happens.

- What political forces in Ukraine can oppose Zelensky's proposal?

- In connection with the war, all political parties are busy defending the country, rallied around the president. Even the pro-Russian party "For Life" has split, some of the activists create their own political groups. Therefore, a political discussion around Zelensky's idea is also impossible because more than three million Ukrainians have become refugees, and 10 million are internally displaced persons. In Ukraine, the war has formed a non-political alliance between the army and society, and the authorities must take into account the will of this political force.

- The Russian Federation  speaks about the possibility of holding a referendum in the territories occupied since February 24, for the annexation of these lands to the Russian Federation. Is it possible?

- Residents of these Ukrainian regions, unarmed, daily come out against Russian tanks demanding the withdrawal of the occupiers from Ukraine. Not a single inhabitant of these territories is happy with the "liberators". A referendum is impossible there, unless the inhabitants of the separatist regions are brought there and they arrange a sabbath there, a parody of the will. But it will be visible to the whole world that there is not a referendum, but a falsification.

- It was told that with the onset of spring, when the trees were covered with leaves, the Ukrainians would start a guerrilla war like grandfathers during the Second World War.

- The guerrilla war is on. Villagers, farmers, even Ukrainian gypsies kill invaders, take away military equipment. Minor operations, sabotage of these detachments are coordinated from the Center for Special Operations. The well-known explosion in the port city of Berdyansk with the sinking of a Russian landing ship and damage to other military vessels of the Russian Federation was also controlled from the Special Operations Center. I can’t say more about this, since the enemy monitors all publications and may receive information that is undesirable for us.

- Is it possible to say that Putin has created "a second Afghanistan in the center of Europe" for Russia?

- More than 400,000 Ukrainian migrant workers returned home from Europe to fight the orcs. There is a total war going on. In recent days, the important city of Trostyanets in the Sumy direction has been liberated. This is a strategic point captured by the Kantemirovskaya Panzer Division. The glorified formation was defeated, the threat of seizing the road to Akhtyrka was removed. It is reported about the withdrawal of the Russian army from the city of Slavutich near Belarus. The appearance of the occupiers there had no military meaning, since the population of Slavutych is pronouncedly anti-Russian, people protested against the occupiers. In the Kharkov region, several villages were liberated, about 70 units of enemy equipment and thousands of manpower were destroyed there. In general, about 17,000 more than 50,000 occupier servicemen were killed during the entire war, V.Tryukhan noted.
