Eid al-Adha Celebrations President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 26 congratulated the country’s citizens and compatriots abroad on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, extending wishes of peace and prosperity.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced the development of a new agricultural development program for 2026–2030 worth more than 5 billion manats ($2.9 billion), aimed at strengthening food security and reducing imports.

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov departed for New York on a working visit on May 25. On May 26, Bayramov is scheduled to address a meeting of the United Nations Security Council dedicated to the topic “Upholding the Purposes and Principles of the UN Charter and Strengthening the UN-Centered International System,” as well as hold a number of meetings with senior officials.

United Nations Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed stated that holding WUF13 in Baku became an important platform for discussing practical solutions in urbanization and demonstrating the transformation of Azerbaijani cities.
