The media agenda reflects the country’s foreign policy and economic activity. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 5 received in Baku a delegation of the European Union led by the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. On May 6, Aliyev received a delegation of the Islamic Development Bank. Azerbaijani company Arkan Innovations LLC presented new loitering munitions at a defense exhibition in Istanbul.

Over the past day, Azerbaijan was visited by two European delegations of the highest and high level — Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs Kaja Kallas.

Media outlets focus on the speeches of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia at the summit of the European Political Community in Yerevan. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated his readiness to participate in a similar summit planned to be held in Azerbaijan in 2028. In turn, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who addressed the summit via video link, reaffirmed Baku’s commitment to the peace agenda and the normalization of relations with Armenia. At the same time, he criticized the European Parliament and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for “double standards” toward Azerbaijan.
