10 days of arrest for calling for the resignation of Hajibala Abutalibov
The activist of the youth committee of PPFA Tofig Dadashov was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. This decision was taken on February 24 by the Binagadi District Court of Baku. Dadashev was convicted for not subordinating to the police. However PPFA finds it far-fetched and politically motivated accusation.
The party believes that the real reason for the arrest was the creation by Dadashov of a Facebook group "Hajibala Abutalibov - resign!", which called to hold a protest demanding the resignation of the mayor of Baku on February 23.
The reason for the intended action was the video spread in social networks of Abutalibov, who said that "Azerbaijan has only one man - our president."
Dadashov was arrested on February 22 at his rented apartment in the village Mushvig by persons in civilian clothes. They also seized his computer. Thereafter, on behalf of Dadashov somebody announced the abolition of the action on Facebook. -06D -
