120 Azerbaijani peacekeepers left Afghanistan
Baku/26.08.21/Turan: On the night of August 26, 120 Azerbaijani peacekeepers deployed Afghanistan left the country. The personnel and their weapons were transferred by plane to Ankara and from there to Baku, according to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry.
It should be recalled that the Azerbaijani peacekeeping contingent operated in Afghanistan as a part of the Turkish peacekeeping forces to protect the Kabul airport.
It ought to be noted that the peacekeeping mission of the Azerbaijani armed forces in Afghanistan started in November 2002. The contingent included military doctors and staff officers. -02D-
