13 Armenian soldiers received six years of imprisonment /UPDATED/
Baku/29.07.21 / Turan: The Baku Court for Serious Crimes read out the verdict of 13 Armenian soldiers.
They were found guilty of illegal arms trafficking and illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan, and each of them was sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment.--- 06B-

The prosecutor offered to sentence 13 Armenian soldiers to 7 years of imprisonment
Baku/29.07.21/Turan: The trial of the fourth group of 13 Armenian military personnel continued today at the Baku Court for Serious Crimes.
The public prosecutor offered to sentence all of them to 7 years of imprisonment finding them guilty of illegal border crossing and illegal possession of weapons. At the same time, the prosecutor offered to strike out from the case the articles on terrorism and creation of illegal formations.
After that, the lawyers opened the defense, and the process continued.
The defendants in this group are Astanyan Egisha Hovhannesovich, Aramyan Karen Armenovich, Avakyan Tigran Manikovich, Gevorkyan Grigor Gevorkovich, Manukyan Hovsep Robertovich, Martirosyan Gevorg Samuelovich, Gevorgyan Robert Ovikovich, Avetisyan Vagarshak Ashotovich, Hakobyan Volodi Gagigovich, Sukiasyan Andranik Srapovich, Manukyan Andranik Tigranovich, Sagateryan Grigor Seiranovich and Giragusyan Eduard Armenovich.
It should be reminded that the above-mentioned persons are servicemen of the Armenian army captured on December 13, 2020 during operations of state security service of Azerbaijan on the territory of Hadrut Total, more than 60 offenders were detained.
Later, some of them were released.
It should be added that 40 persons have already been convicted on the matter. They were divided into three groups. 12 of them got a suspended sentence and were released earlier July in exchange for minefield maps.
Another 3 persons were sentensed to 4 years of imprisonment, the rest went to 6 years of imprisonment.-06D-

President of the Council of the European Union Antonio Costa called the head of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan published a set of proposals on his Facebook page aimed at establishing long-term peace in the region. Among them, he suggested that Azerbaijan should abandon mutual claims against Armenia, including in international courts. Other proposals include: refraining from using belligerent rhetoric, continuing the demarcation of borders, signing a peace agreement that is 90% ready, mutually implementing arms control, creating a joint mechanism to investigate violations of the ceasefire regime, and dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group.

Baku is expected to see the construction of 10 new metro stations. President Ilham Aliyev discussed this during a meeting with journalists on January 7. The head of state noted that locations for the new metro stations have been selected, and investments will start being made this year.
