62 Armenian servicemen captured on December 16 were delivered to Baku, Armenian sources report
Baku/ 20.12.20/Turan: The Azerbaijani authorities have confirmed that they have 62 Armenian prisoners, Nazeli Baghdasaryan, a deputy from the "My Step" Bloc, said on her page, Sputnik reported.
"A little earlier ended our meeting with Sofia Hovsepyan (deputy - ed.) the commander of the Russian peacekeepers, General Rustam Muradov. The General confirmed that official Baku accepts the fact of the capture of 62 people from the Armenian side," Baghdasaryan wrote.
According to her, this is important from the point of view of ensuring guarantees for the life and health of these people. A list of prisoners by name from their side was transferred to the leadership of the peacekeepers for transfer to the Azerbaijanis.
It was also confirmed that the prisoners were in Baku. At the next stage, the issue of the terms and conditions for the safe return of prisoners to their homeland will be discussed.
The Azerbaijani authorities did not disseminate an official message regarding the capture and delivery of captured Armenians to Baku.
On December 16, in the afternoon, information and photos about the capture of 60 Armenian soldiers near Hadrut appeared in the Armenian media. Part of the Armenian military - 30 people - was transferred by the Azerbaijani military to Russian peacekeepers.This happened after two days of fighting near the villages of Khin Tager and Khtsaberd, relatives of the captured Armenian soldiers said.
All of them were mobilized and sent to Karabakh from the Shirak region of Armenia.-0—
