A group of gypsies detained at the border with Georgia
Baku/10.09.21/Turan: On September 7, a group of 13 people was detained at the border with Georgia, who tried to enter Azerbaijan, by passing the border checkpoint.
Two of the violators are on the wanted list for their offenses, stated the message of the State Border Service of Azerbaijan; a lawsuit has been filed on the fact. All adult offenders, except for three young children, have been brought to justice.
In the recent period, cases of violation of the border of Azerbaijan by Georgia by persons of Roma nationality have become more frequent. In 2020 and 2021, 140 violators were detained who violated the Georgian-Azerbaijani border 34 times. Among them there are 63 young children. Measures are being taken to suppress such violations, the report says. -02D-
