Baku/22.11.22/Turan: On November 22, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin made a phone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
During the phone conversation, the sides reviewed the issues of practical implementation of the agreements reached in Sochi on October 31, 2022 between the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia, as well as the previous joint statements of the three countries at a high level. They stressed the importance of continuing work in a trilateral format on ensuring security on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border and restoring transport links in the South Caucasus.
They also discussed prospects for the development of energy cooperation.

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
