Aliyev and Sargsyan will meet in Paris
The next meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents will be held in Paris, announced today Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov at a joint news conference with German Foreign Minister Walter Steinmeier. According to Mammadyarov, the idea of holding such a meeting came from France, and Baku does not object it, however he did not specify what will be the agenda and date of the meeting.
Last week the official Paris several times expressed readiness to organize a meeting of the Presidents in their territory. These statements were made after the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents in St.Petersburg with the participation of the Russian president. -02D-

Economist Fazil Gasimov, who has been on hunger strike for 98 days, today requested the Baku Serious Crimes Court to dismiss the criminal charges against him. He stated that he is not involved with counterfeit money and that the case against him is politically motivated. His lawyer, Rovshan Rahimov, also petitioned for a change in his detention conditions, noting that Gasimov's health is severely deteriorating due to the prolonged hunger strike.
