The volume of deposits in Uni Bank for 2015 grew by 10.7%
At the end of 2015 Uni Bank suffered losses amounting to 22.3 million AZN. At the same time the operating profit for the year reached 85.5 million AZN.
According to the report (https://goo.gl/707pum), losses occurred as a result of provisions totaling 113.1 million AZN for possible losses on loans. As of January 1 of this year the volume of loans issued to customers was 654.7 million AZN. The volume of loans of Uni Bank decreased 20.5 million AZN in 2015. The volume of deposits for 2015 grew by 10.7% and reached 526 million AZN.
Recall that on the results of 2014 JSC Uni Bank had profits in the amount of 48.5 million AZN and paid tax on profit in the amount of 9.5 million AZN.
JSC Uni Bank was created in 2002 by the merger of Promtekhbank and M Bank. The Chairman of the Supervisory Board Eldar Garibov owns 56.9% of the shares, EBRD owns 12.1%, and the German Investment Corporation (DEG) owns 6. 68%. The bank has two subsidiaries (Uni Capital and Uni Leasing). ----08D

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance.
