
Aliyev Discussed Prospects of Relations with Iran with Vaezi
The Head of State Ilham Aliyev received in Baku the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran, co-chairman of the joint economic commission Mahmoud Vaezi.
As the website of the President said, Aliyev noted that in 2016 occupied a special place in the history of bilateral relations.
Aliyev called significant event the launch of the passenger train Nakhchivan-Tabriz-Tehran-Mashhad planned for 29 December.
Vaezi for his part reported on the increase in trade and investment between the two countries, the successful development of cooperation in transport, agriculture and others.
Reference was made to the continuation of construction of a car plant in Neftchala.
In the near future the foundation of a new joint venture in the pharmaceutical industry will be laid in Pirallahi.
During the meeting, the sides also stressed the importance of the Azerbaijani-Iranian business forum in Nakhchivan. -06D-
