Aliyev expressed gratitude to the Turkic countries for their participation in the restoration of Fuzuli
Baku/03.11.23/Turan: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to the neighboring countries for their invaluable support in the ongoing efforts to restore the city of Fuzuli, liberated from the Armenian occupation, located in the Karabakh region. The gratitude was expressed during the 10th anniversary summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the correspondent of the Kazinform agency reports.
Aliyev gave an insight into the profound impact of these joint efforts, stressing that more than 140,000 people are expected to return to Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur by the end of 2026. Expressing his gratitude, Aliyev highlighted the important role played by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, recalling their joint participation in the opening of the school in Fuzuli. This joint undertaking serves as a poignant reminder of the strong cooperation between their peoples.
In addition, Aliyev expressed gratitude to the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for an invaluable gift in the form of a Creative center, which is currently being built in Fuzuli. This project serves as a tangible symbol of the strong ties of friendship and brotherhood that unite Azerbaijan with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The President stressed the interconnectedness of their peoples in the vast expanse of the Turkic world, expressing confidence that their friendship and fraternal relations will only strengthen in the coming years.--0--

According to the Turkish newspaper Sabah, officials from the Istanbul Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Smuggling Unit have detained an Azerbaijani citizen with a large shipment of gold. The detention took place near the Vadi İstanbul shopping center in the Sarıyer district, where a taxi was stopped. During the search, 70 kg of gold was found. The Azerbaijani citizen in the vehicle claimed ownership of the cargo and also stated that he was a diplomat. The investigation by the prosecutor's office is ongoing, reports Sabah newspaper. The media outlet does not disclose the name of the "diplomat," only his initials – M.G.Ş. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has declined to comment on the situation.
