Aliyev received credentials of Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia and Jordan
Baku/05.10.23/Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today received the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia Issam bin Saleh al-Juteili.
During the meeting, Aliyev highly appreciated Saudi Arabia's unequivocal moral and political support for Azerbaijan in protecting and restoring the country's territorial integrity.
Moreover, Riyadh has provided this support “always, both during the occupation and after the liberation of the Azerbaijani lands.”
Aliyev also stressed with satisfaction that the mutual support of the two countries within the framework of international organizations has acquired a traditional character.
Touching upon economic cooperation, Aliyev noted the energy sector. He stressed the importance of Saudi investments in this industry.
The Ambassador stressed that Azerbaijan is a friendly and fraternal country for Saudi Arabia. He said that he had received specific instructions on the development of ties in various fields.
Aliyev also received the credentials of Jordan's Omar Barakat al-Nahar today.
During the meeting, Aliyev noted the "high level" of bilateral relations.
According to him, Azerbaijan and Jordan "always support each other within the framework of international organizations."
Noting the good level of political ties, Aliyev also emphasized the importance of expanding economic cooperation in the future.
During the meeting, issues of expanding trade and economic ties, cooperation in tourism, education and other spheres were discussed.-B06-
