Aliyev's contact with Pashinyan gives a positive result - Sergey Lebedev
Minsk / 10.10.18 / Turan: The meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia at the CIS summit in Dushanbe had a positive result, Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Lebedev told reporters on Wednesday. "I myself was a witness as President Ilham Aliyev and Prime Minister Nikolay Pashinyan repeatedly approached each other and discussed the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," he said.
"Instructions were given to the competent structures in both countries to reduce tensions. We hope that the first substantive contact between the two states will continue, and will give a positive result for resolving the conflict," Lebedev added, and noted that all leaders welcomed the contacts between Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev. "These are positive steps in resolving the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan," he concluded. -02D-
