Amnestied Deputy chairman of the Islamic Party is released
The deputy chairman of the Islamic Party, Mehdi Shamili, has been released, according to his lawyer Cavad Cavadli. He said that Shamili was released under an amnesty announced by the parliament in connection with the 90th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev at the beginning of May this year.
Shamili was sentenced to one and a half years under Article 234 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation and sale of drugs.) -16D04-
