Anti-Russian Actions Do Not Stop in Armenia
Yerevan / 15.01.15 / Turan- ArmInfo: Anti-Russian actions do not stop in Yerevan and Gumri in connection with the murder of an Armenian family of 6 persons by a Russian soldier.
During the rally in front of the Russian Embassy in Yerevan, protesters tore a Russian flag and threw it to the ground. A similar action occurred also before the Russian consulate in Gumri.
Several thousand people broke through police cordons and blocked the Russian military base in Gumri, demanding to give them the soldier Permyakov, who shot the Armenian family on January 12.
The participants demanded to withdraw the 102nd military base from Armenia. At the same time, they sounded slogans quite insulting to Russians, like: "Get out of Armenia!"
Also, participants demanded that the Russian President Vladimir Putin apologized to the Armenian people.
The protesters demanded to transfer the investigation of this case to the Armenian law enforcement agencies.
The residents of Gumri gave the Russian command several hours for extradition of Valery Permyakov. If up to 17:00 on January 15 Permyakov is not be extradited to the Armenian side, the protest will continue.
Meanwhile, the Russian side refuses to extradite its citizen and wants to try him itself. -02D-
