Armenia has become the largest buyer of Indian arms. According to the Indian information resource IADN, the total volume of Armenia's arms purchases from India in the 2024-2025 fiscal year has reached $600 million, Armenian media reported.
According to Indian sources, Armenia has purchased "Pinaka" missile systems, anti-UAV systems, anti-tank systems and other weapons.
The contract for the supply of four "Pinaka" batteries and missiles for them cost Yerevan $250 million.
Note that India will also supply Armenia with anti-tank missiles and a number of ammunition. In addition, Yerevan will receive four "Swathi radars" ($44 million). These radars are designed to detect artillery shells, mortar mines and rockets, as well as to pinpoint the location of their launchers and positions.
