Armenia to send 25 athletes European
Yerevan/26.05.15/Turan- ArmInfo: Sport Armenian delegation at the European Games in Baku will consist of 25 athletes. This May 26 told reporters the secretary general of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia Hrachya Rostomyan. The participation of 6,000 athletes is expected at the competitions on draw of 253 sets of medals in 20 sports.
Rostomyan said that the first group of Armenian athletes competing for medals in Greco-Roman wrestling, taekwondo, sambo, judo, boxing and shooting, will travel to Azerbaijan is the 10th of June.
According to him, security issues, financial and organizational issues of the Armenian athletes have not, they are all solved President of the NOC of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan. However Rostomyan called on journalists and citizens not to worry about the psychological state of the Armenian athletes who will only need the support of fans.
Total of 253 sets of medals in 20 sports with the participation of 6,000 athletes will take part. -0-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.

During the ongoing COP29 climate conference in Baku on November 14, a group of activists staged a protest condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The activists also denounced countries that supply oil and weapons to nations waging aggressive wars. The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.
