Ashgabat and Baku will expand cooperation in transport and energy
Baku / 31.01.18 / Turan: On Wednesdsy the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Azerbaijani delegation headed by Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. Berdimuhamedov noted that the visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to meetings with various structures of Turkmenistan "creates good opportunities for development of cooperation in the field of energy and transport," the press service of the Foreign Ministry said. Mammadyarov noted the role and possibilities of the new Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway in the expansion of transport capabilities of the region. He also stressed that the development of bilateral relations between Ashgabat and Baku, as well as tripartite relations - Azerbaijan-Turkmenistan-Turkey, serve regional cooperation. Representatives of SOCAR, CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways", CJSC "Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company", CJSC "Baku International Sea Trade Port" are also part of the Azerbaijani delegation. -02D-

Today, September 7, 2024, the second picket in support of Igbal Abilov was held in The Hague (Netherlands) in front of the Embassy of Azerbaijan. The event was organized by Igbal's friends and colleagues. During the picket, protesters continued to collect signatures for the petition and called on Azerbaijan authorities to stop persecution and free Igbal. This is the second rally in support of Abilov in Europe.

The Khatai district court of Baku today extended for another three months the arrest term of investigative journalist Hafiz Babaly, arrested in the "Abzas Media case". His lawyer Rasul Jafarov informed Turan about it.
