At the OSCE Ministerial Council talked about Karabakh
A meeting of foreign ministers of the OSCE Ministerial Council took place on December 8 in Hamburg. Opening the meeting of the OSCE Chairman, German Foreign Minister Walter Steinmeier, referring to unresolved conflicts, among others, referred to Nagorno-Karabakh. He noted the need to continue negotiations for the solution of this problem, which could once again escalate. The EU representative for security and foreign affairs Federica Mogherini also called for intensification of the negotiations for a peaceful settlement. The US Secretary of State John Kerry said that the conflict cannot be solved for a long time, causing concern of the OSCE member countries.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the problem should be solved taking into account the interests of all parties, under the current format. Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia are also present at the meeting. As expected, Elmar Mammadyarov and Edward Nalbandian will hold a separate meeting in Hamburg. -16D-
